Box Score MACON, Ga. (Oct. 12, 2014) – The Sewanee women's soccer team continued to roll with an impressive 6-2 win over Wesleyan, Sunday.
The victory improved Sewanee's record to 8-3 overall.
Sewanee jumped in front quickly, as Jordan Najmabadi scored back-to-back goals in the first half.
Wesleyan would cut the lead to one, 2-1, right before halftime when Katie Tanner netted a goal with only four seconds left in the first.
In the second half, Sewanee stayed on the attack. Goals by Melissa Zankman, Jamie Samociuk, Kiley Ezzell, and Emily Driver helped the Tigers dominate the final 45 minutes.
Overall, Sewanee finished with 29 shots while only giving up four to Wesleyan.
Individually, seven Tigers finished with points. That included assists from Katie Morrison and Tyler Edell.
The Tigers will quickly return to action with a 6:00 p.m. match against Agnes Scott Tuesday at Puett Field.
