Box Score

ATLANTA (Oct. 11, 2014) – Despite a long weather delay, the Sewanee women's soccer team rolled past Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Oglethorpe 3-0, Saturday, at Salamone Field.

The Tigers are now a perfect 2-0-0 in conference play with six points. That is tied for the league lead with Berry. Sewanee is also 7-3 overall this fall.

The Tigers got on the board first, when Melissa Zankman scored off a pass from senior Grace Priest.

Sewanee then extended its advantage to 2-0 as Jordan Najmabadi netted a goal off an assist from Martha Dinwiddie.

Finally, Katie Morrison scored in the 84th minute when teammate Mary "Sissy" Frank found the Tiger sophomore in front of the net.

Overall, Sewanee dominated in shots 28-7. In fact, that was the most shot attempts the Tigers have had since Sewanee posted 33 shots against Maryville on September 6.

Sewanee will now step outside conference play for a 4:00 p.m. match at Wesleyan, Sunday.
