DANVILLE, Ky. (April 21, 2013) – A late seventh inning rally helped Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Centre come-from-behind to defeat the Sewanee baseball team Sunday at Gary Wright Field.

A Blake Williams single in the top of the first inning chased home James Snover to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead, but the Colonels plated two runs in the bottom of the seventh and held on for the 2-1 victory.

Snover paced the Tigers with two hits in four trips to the plate. Williams and Whaley each had one hit.

Worth Osgood was the losing pitcher. Osgood allowed two runs on five hits in 6.1 innings of work.

With the loss, the Tigers fall to 13-22 overall and 3-17 in conference play.

Sewanee will return to action on Friday at the SAA Championships in Jackson, Miss. The Tigers will face host Millsaps College at 6:00 p.m.
