SEWANEE, Tenn. (March 24, 2013) – The Sewanee baseball team dropped its final contest to Southern Athletic Association rival Rhodes Sunday at Montgomery Field.

The Lynx opened the game with a seven-run first inning and never looked back in the 11-3 win over Sewanee. Today's victory for the Lynx completed the three-game conference series sweep.

Brett Polston, Allen Thigpen, and Jack Rogers all chipped in one hit each.

Starter Mike O'Neil, the losing pitcher for the Tigers, allowed six earned runs on six hits in only two-thirds of an inning of work.

The Tigers fall to 6-14 on the season and 0-9 in SAA play.

Sewanee will return to action on Friday when it travels to Conway, Ark. for a three-game conference series with Hendrix College.  The first game is scheduled for at 6:00 p.m.
