Box Score 2 SEWANEE, Tenn. (March 23, 2013) – Long-time conference rival Rhodes earned a pair of Southern Athletic Association (SAA) wins over the Sewanee baseball team Saturday at Montgomery Field.
Freshman Worth Osgood was charged with the loss on the mound for the Tigers in the first game of the afternoon doubleheader.
Allen Thigpen and Grant Goodson led Sewanee's five-hit attack with two hits each, while Michael Walker had a double. Jack Whaley drove in a run with a ground out.
In the second game of the day, Colin Barrera posted two hits to lead the Tigers at the plate. Thigpen chipped in a double and Walker added an RBI single.
Senior Jacob Simpson was the losing pitcher.
The Tigers drop to 6-13 overall on the season and 0-8 in SAA play.
The Tigers and the Lynx will wrap up their three-game conference series with a 1:00 p.m. game tomorrow at Montgomery Field.
