BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 13, 2013) – A goal in each half helped Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Birmingham-Southern snap the Sewanee women's soccer team's six-match winning streak, Sunday.

The Panthers improved to 4-7-0 overall and 1-2-0 in SAA play with the 2-0 win. Sewanee fell to 9-2-1 overall and is now 2-1-0 in league play after suffering its first defeat since September 13.

BSC opened with a goal by Amanda Babbin in the 43rd minute. Late in the second half, the Panthers scored a much-needed insurance goal by Bailey Kimbell.

Overall, BSC led Sewanee in shots 19-10. The Panthers also came away with an 11-5 advantage in corner kicks.
