COLOARDO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 25, 2012) – The Colorado College men's lacrosse team ended Sewanee's four-match winning streak with a 13-8 victory at Washburn Field Sunday.

The loss dropped the Tigers to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in SCAC action.

Sewanee quickly opened the scoring when Rob Finnegan found the back of the cage.

Unfortunately, Sewanee's momentum did not last long after Colorado scored five straight goals. Attacker Michael Morris briefly stopped the drought when he scored an unassisted goal with 8:36 remaining. However, the Tigers responded again when Jack Kreitler added two straight goals to put Colorado College up 7-2 right before the half.

In the second half, the Tigers outscored Sewanee 6-5 margin. Colorado College also outshot Sewanee 46-31.

Individually, Davis Brown scored a career-high three goals on five attempts. Pierce Leonard, Reed Daniel, Morris, Finnegan, and John Stiefel all finished with one goal. Defensively, sophomore goalkeeper Tommy Healy made 12 saves in 60 minutes.

Sewanee will close out its three-game conference road trip with a 7 p.m., contest at Centre, March 30th.
