Field hockey close road trip in Kentucky

SEWANEE, Tenn. (Sept. 23, 2011)
– After spending its first three matches on the road the Sewanee field hockey team will continue that trend for more weekend as the Tigers open a two-match road trip at SCAC rival Centre with a 7 p.m. contest Friday night.
 
Overall, the Tigers have played well lately. Sewanee sits at 2-1 on the season after winning at Ohio Wesleyan, September 3rd and at Transylvania, last Saturday.
 
Individually, senior forward Elise Landau leads the Tiger attack with a team-high four goals and eight points. Defensively, goalkeeper Anna Morrow has slowed down the opposition with a 1.00 goals against average in 210.00 minutes of play.
 
Centre enters the match with 3-3 record, after also defeating Transylvania 4-1 last Sunday. The Colonels are 1-1 at home this fall, while individually, Barbara Parks leads the Centre offense with three goals, two assists and eight points.
