Men's Lacrosse wins fifth straight conference game with a 26-2 victory over Millsaps

Thirteen different players scored for the Tigers en route to a 26-2 victory over SCAC opponent Millsaps in men's lacrosse action. The Tigers totaled 71 shots on goal and held the Majors to only 13 shots as they cruised to their fifth straight conference victory. With the win, Sewanee moves to 5-1 in conference and 6-6 overall.

Sewanee scored six goals in the first period, six goals in the second period, and nine goals in the third period while keeping Millsaps scoreless. The Tigers had scored 22 straight goals when the Majors found the back of the net for the first time in the fourth quarter, and Sewanee responded with four more goals to wrap up the win.

Junior Jack Thomasson led the Tigers in scoring with five goals and two assists. Sophomore Thomas Moore netted three goals and two assists, and freshman Michael Morris added three goals and one assist. Senior Teddy Peterson and sophomores Drew Lincoln and Charles Wadelington recorded two goals each for the Tigers, and sophomore Carson Pfiefer, freshman Davis Brown, senior Travis Brannon, sophomore Joe Irby, and sophomore James Millard scored a goal apiece. Peterson also picked up 10 ground balls and went 13-15 on faceoffs. 

Sewanee goalies Tommy Healy and Cullen Graves combined for six saves. The Tigers picked up a total of 55 ground balls, won 24-31 face-offs, and allowed Millsaps to go only 9 for 20 on their clear attempts. 

The Tigers are back in Sewanee for their final game before the SCAC championships. They play Birmingham Southern at Puett Field on April 15^th at 7 p.m.
