Sewanee Men's Lacrosse Handles Hendrix

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- The Sewanee men's larosse team played at Hendrix Friday night and picked up a 10-3 SCAC win over the host Warriors after leading 7-0 at the halftime break. Sewanee outshot Hendrix 45-40 on the day.

Pierce Leonard (Charlotte, N.C., Culver Academy) led Sewanee's effort with three goals, and Jack Thomasson (Charlottesville, Va., St. Anne's-Belfield) had two Tiger goals. Teddy Peterson (McLean, Va., Episcopal ) had a team high five ground balls for Sewanee. In goal, Patrick Quinn (Germantown, Tenn., Christian Brothers HS) and Stewart Calder (New Canaan, Conn., New Canaan HS) split time in goal in the Sewanee win. Kieth Clemens had 17 saves in goal for Hendrix.

Sewanee is now 4-9 and on a three-game win streak. The Tigers are 2-1 in the SCAC and will play conference foe Colorado College on Saturday. Hendrix is 0-3 in the SCAC.
