Washington and Lee Men's Lacrosse Stops Sewanee

BOX SCORE

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Sewanee hosted Washington and Lee in men's lacrosse Wednesday afternoon and the Generals topped the Tigers 13-4 after leading 9-1 at the half. The Generals, who were nationally ranked \#14 preseason by Inside Lacrosse Magazine, got out to a quick 1-0 lead. Sewanee evened the score at one, but W&L took off after that for eight more first half goals.

Pierce Leonard (Charlotte, N.C., Culver Academy) led Sewanee with two goals. Will Finney (Baltimore, Md., Gilman School) and Brendan Eisenbrandt (Pittsburg, Pa., Shady Side Academy) each chipped in a goal, too. Will Keigler and Spence Daw led the Generals with two goals apiece. Stewart Calder (New Canaan, Conn., New Canaan HS) had 12 saves in goal, while W&L's Matt Mason recorded six saves.

Sewanee is now 0-2 and will play an exhibition game against Rhodes in Sewanee on Saturday before hosting Carthage on March 7. Washington and Lee is 2-0.
