BOX SCORE

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee improved to 2-2 Friday with a 3-2 win over Division II Catawba with a last-second buzzer-beating winning goal by Sewanee senior captain Clare Ashburn (Washington, D.C., Holton-Arms).

Catawba scored first in the ninth minute, but Sewanee answered later in the first half with a tying goal by Caroline Carlin (Gladwyne, Penn., Country Day). In the second period, a Caitlin McNaughton (Middleburg, Va., Foxcroft) goal for Sewanee and then a Catawba goal by Sam Santoli evened the score at two as time ran down.
