COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sewanee wrapped up a road weekend and its 2009 season Sunday at Colorado College and fell to CC 22-4 after trailing 12-2 at the half.
Jack Thomasson (Charlottesville, Va., St. Anne's-Belfield) led Sewanee with two goals, while Hank Gerrity (Cumberland, Maine, North Yarmouth Academy) and Brendan Eisenbrandt (Pittsburg, Pa., Shady Side Academy) each chipped in one. Sewanee had 28 saves in goal compared to three for CC. Carson Christman led Colorado College with five goals.
Sewanee finishes its season at 4-10. Colorado College is 8-6 and will play at Fontbonne. Sewanee and Colorado College will face off again next year, as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) will begin sponsoring men's lacrosse as a championship sport in 2010.
