2009 Men's Lacrosse: #7 W&L Tops Sewanee

LEXINGTON, Va. – Sewanee played at \#7 Washington and Lee on Wednesday and the host Generals beat the visiting Tigers 22-3 after leading 13-1 at the half.

Jack Thomasson (Charlottesville, Va., St. Anne's-Belfield), Hank Gerrity (Cumberland, Maine, North Yarmouth Academy) and Michael Johnson (Baltimore, Md., Gilman School) scored goals for Sewanee. Thomasson also logged two assists on the day. Four General players scored three goals each. Stewart Calder (New Canaan, Conn., New Canaan HS) picked up 17 saves for Sewanee. Sewanee was 1-1 in extra man opportunities, while W&L was 0-2.

The seventh-ranked Generals are 7-0. Sewanee is 0-7 and will host Oberlin on March 21st.
