DANVILLE, Ky. – Sewanee played \#17 Centre in SCAC ball
Friday night in Danville and the host Colonels topped the visiting
Tigers 65-35 after leading 32-18 at the halftime break.
Ben Pursell (Franklin, Tenn., BGA) led Sewanee with
eight points and seven rebounds. Casey Berry (Naples, Fla.,
Community School) had four steals on the night. Danny Noll
led Centre with 11 points. Centre out-rebounded Sewanee 39-28 and
the Colonels were 49% good from the field and Sewanee was 25%
accurate in field goals.
Sewanee is now 7-17 and is 4-9 in the SCAC. The Tigers will play
at DePauw on Sunday before traveling to Conway, Arkansas the next
weekend for the SCAC Tournament. Seventeenth-ranked Centre is 19-4
and 11-2 in the SCAC.
