SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee hosted Colorado College Sunday
afternoon in SCAC men's basketball and the host Tigers
overcame a 27-21 halftime deficit to retake the lead with 10
minutes left in the second on a pair of Kenton Coleman
(Ridgetop, Tenn., Greenbrier) three-pointers. Colorado
rallied, though, and retook the lead late for an eventual 55-52
win.
Ben Pursell (Franklin, Tenn., BGA) led Sewanee's
effort with 12 points and seven rebounds. Coleman was also in
double digits with 10 points. Nick Rose led Colorado College with
12 points. Sewanee outshot Colorado, making 38% of it's field
goals compared to 34% for CC. Sewanee also led in rebounds,
grabbing 35 compared to 34 for Colorado College.
Both teams are now 4-15. Sewanee is 2-8 in the SCAC and Colorado
College is 3-7 in the league. Sewanee will host Oglethorpe Saturday
night.
