SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Sewanee hosted \#3 Trinity in women's soccer action Sunday and the nationally ranked visiting Tigers topped the purple Tigers of Sewanee 6-1 after leading 2-0 at the half.
After Danika Wright scored Trinity's third goal (46th minute),
Bess Goodman (Greensboro, N.C., Grimsley) scored off of a
Faith Spencer (New York, N.Y., Hotchkiss) asisst to start a Sewanee rally that would be stopped by another trio of Trinity goals that secured the 6-1 final score.
Trinity outshot Sewanee 14-10 in the match and had six corner kicks compared to one corner opportunity for Sewanee.
Britt Williams (Birmingham, Ala., Altamont) had three saves in goal for Sewanee, while Trinity's Katie Garrett had five saves.
Sewanee is now 10-2-3 and is 5-1-2 in the SCAC. Trinity is 14-0 so far. Sewanee will play at Oglethorpe and Emory next weekend.
