Field Hockey: Sewanee Tops Transy

DANVILLE, Ky. -- Sewanee played Transylvania in Division III field hockey action Saturday morning on the campus of Centre College and Sewanee came out on top 4-1 after leading 2-1 at the half.

For the Tigers, Clare Ashburn (Washington, D.C., Holton-Arms), Taylor Skeen (Baltimore, Md., Towson), Carly Grimm (South Salem, N.Y., John Jay), and Elise Landau (Wernersville, Pa., Lancaster Country Day) scored goals in the winning effort. Sewanee is now 5-4 on the year and 1-3 in the SCAC. The Tigers will try to improve their conference record tomorrow against host Centre in SCAC play.
