Sewanee Falls to Lynchburg on the Road

LYNCHBURG, Va. 10/16/08 – The Sewanee Tigers were shutout by Lynchburg College, 3-0, Thursday night in field hockey action.

The stingy Lynchburg defense limited the Tigers to only three shots on goal for the game, two by Carly Grimm (South Salem, N.Y., John Jay)and one by Lynn Hancock (Paris, Ky., Foxcroft).

Clarkie Crawford (Louisville, Ky., Collegiate) had eight saves in goal for Sewanee.

Sewanee is now 6-6 on the season and will be back in action on Friday as they play at Sweet Briar College in a match scheduled to begin at 4 pm.
