Sewanee Field Hockey Falls on the Road

GREENCASTLE, Ind. – Sewanee faced DePauw in Greencastle in SCAC field hockey action Saturday and the host DePauw Tigers topped Sewanee 4-1.

The lone Sewanee goal was on a Taylor Skeen (Baltimore, Md., Towson) goal from a Claiborne Buckingham (Richmond, Va., Collegiate) assist. The shot count was even on the day with each team taking 10 attempts at the net. In goal for Sewanee, Clarkie Crawford (Louisville, Ky., Collegiate) had one save and Emily Detmer (Denver, Colo., Pomfret)had two saves.

Sewanee is now 6-4 and is 2-3 in the SCAC. The Tigers will face Centre on Sunday in Danville, Ky. DePauw is now 6-2 and will host Rhodes on Sunday.
