Luddy, Miller tie for Reserve High Point Rider as Tigers finish third at Maryville

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Madeline Luddy and Michael Miller tied for Reserve High Point Rider as the Sewanee equestrian team finished third on the second day of the IHSA Maryville Show.

The Tigers finished first and second in both open divisions. In Open Fences, Miller took first on Cassie, while Luddy followed in second on Puppy. In Open Flat, Luddy claimed first on Cassie, while Miller finished second on Louie.

Bailey Pezzella won Limit Flat A on Maggie, while Lily Carter finished sixth on Plaino. Kelley Rose Abell placed second in both of her divisions, riding Finn to second in Limit Flat B and Vegas to second in Limit Fences. In Intermediate Flat, Catherine Eberly placed sixth on Joey.

In Novice A, Hannah Fitzgerald finished sixth on Treasure, while Karma Kilfoyle won Novice B on Rapper. Caroline Holland also claimed a division win in Pre-Novice A, riding Teller to first place. In Introductory, Imamul Mihaddisen placed fifth on Honey.

Sewanee finished with 25 points for third place. Murray State won the team competition with 33 points, followed by MTSU in second with 27.
