Women's cross country tabbed sixth in SAA Preseason Poll

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's women's cross country team was selected sixth in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) preseason poll, with voting conducted among the SAA's nine head coaches.

Trinity was picked to finish first with eight first-place votes for 72 points, while Centre captured one first-place vote with 63 points. Sewanee garnered 35 points for a sixth-place finish.

The Tigers are set to host the 2026 SAA Women's Cross Country Championships on October 31 in Sewanee, Tenn.

Sewanee opens its season on Sept. 5 at the Mountainside Stride, hosted by Covenant at the Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tenn.
