Vollyball earns AVCA Team Academic Award for sixth consecutive year

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, as Sewanee's volleyball team has received the honor for the sixth consecutive year.

The AVCA named 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams to the list that maintained a year-long GPA of at least a 3.3 on a 4.0 scale to earn the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award.

The Tigers are one of six SAA teams that earned the award for the 2025-26 season.

Sewanee will open its season on Sept. 1 at Covenant College on Lookout Mountain, Ga.
