Both teams traded points early before Sewanee used back-to-back Centre errors and a kill from Kennedy to take a 6-3 advantage. The Tigers followed with a 7-2 run fueled by kills from Gann and White and a block from Gann and Ella Reynolds. Centre pulled within two midway through the set, but Kennedy responded with another kill, and a string of Colonel errors pushed Sewanee ahead by six. Three more Centre miscues and a White kill closed out the first set for the Tigers, who hit .219 in the opening frame.

Centre opened the second set on an 8-3 run, capitalizing on four early Sewanee errors. The Tigers answered with five straight points, highlighted by kills from White and Gann and back-to-back aces from Cancado, to take a brief 12-11 lead.  Centre regained control late, using a 10-3 closing stretch to even the match at one set apiece. Sewanee hit .100 in the second set.

Centre carried its momentum into the third, opening with six straight points for a 6-1 lead. Sewanee battled back to within one thanks to a series of Centre errors and a kill from White, narrowing the score to 8-7. The Colonels responded with another 6-0 run to build a seven-point cushion. Sewanee struggled offensively in the frame, hitting -.061 as Centre pulled away for the 25-16 win.

The final set featured nine ties and three lead changes as neither team created more than a two-point lead through the middle stages. With Sewanee trailing 21-20, Centre strung together three points to move in front 23-20. A block from Eleanor Loggie kept the Tigers alive at 23-22, but the Colonels closed the match with back-to-back kills to secure the four-set victory.
Sewanee concludes its season at 17-11 overall and 8-6 in SAA play, entering the postseason on a seven-match win streak before Thursday's tournament matchup.
