Hyden named Singles Athlete of the Week

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Henry Hyden picked up his first Southern Athletic Association Singles Athlete of the Week honor as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. 

Hyden went 2-0 on the weekend at line two singles against No.23-ranked Mary Washington and No.24-ranked Christopher Newport. The junior defeated Trevor Rein of Mary Washington, coming back after dropping the first set, and took the third in a third-set tiebreaker, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4). On Sunday, against No.24-ranked Christopher Newport's Barrett Foster, Hyden won 6-3, 6-0, helping Sewanee to a 7-0 sweep of the Capitals, handing them their first loss of the season. 

Sewanee hosts Asbury and Wallace State this weekend before heading to California for spring break, where they will play five matches in five days.
