Men's tennis sweeps conference honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Men's tennis swept the SAA weekly honors after going 2-0 on the weekend to open the season, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Andre-Remi Jakobi earned singles athlete of the week as he went 2-0 at line one singles for the Tigers this weekend. The senior defeated Ben Onfrock of Covenant in three sets, 7-5, 3-6, 6-1, and collected a two-set win against East Texas Baptist's Sam Black, 6-4, 6-2.

Jakobi and Samuel Schroerlucke earned doubles honors after defeating Onufrock and Dombrowski of Covenant 6-4 to complete the weekend.
