Caruso garners SAA Athlete of the Week honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sophia Caruso earned SAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honors Monday, as announced by the conference office.

The Naples, Fla. native averaged 4.6 digs per set as the Tigers went 2-1 in SAA play this weekend. Caruso tallied 71 digs this weekend, including a career-best 38 digs against Millsaps, adding two aces and a kill on the weekend.

On Wednesday, against Wesleyan, the libero added four digs, two aces, and three assists.

The Tigers head to Rome, Ga., for the second SAA pod this weekend, taking on Rhodes, Trinity, and Berry.
