Softball lands five on CSC Academic All-District

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Sewanee softball team placed five on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team as announced by the association on Tuesday. 

Grace Black, Christian Cain, Madilyn Parker, Kaylie Smith, and Hannah Wilson represent the Tigers on the list. 

Wilson earned her second straight honors, while Black, Cain, Parker, and Smith picked up their first nods. 

Each school with a CSC membership may submit up to five Academic All-District nominations for softball. Each nominee must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore in academic standing, and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched in 35 innings.
