Men's Tennis clinches 11th SAA Championship

Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee men's tennis won its 12th Southern Athletic Association Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon in Little Rock, Ark., against Oglethorpe, 4-0. 

The Tigers moved to 31-0 all-time in SAA Championships, winning their 11th straight crown in which they participated. The program has posted a 101-1 overall record in conference matches and the league tourney since 2013. 

Jordan Theron and Quinn Wicklund got the match started for the Tigers with a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles. Oglethorpe won at No. 2 doubles, but Talman Ramsey and Gil Weston secured the doubles points for Sewanee with a 6-2 win at No. 3. 

Ramsey made quick work in singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5. Wicklund put the Tigers within one point with a win at No. 4, 6-1, 6-2. Andre-Remi Jakobi clinched the 2025 SAA Championships for Sewanee with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 in under an hour. 

Sewanee receives the automatic NCAA bid and will await the NCAA Championship show on Monday, May 5.
