Men's tennis defeats Centre 4-0 in SAA Semifinals

Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. – Talman Ramsey clinched the match for the Tigers as Sewanee's men's tennis team advances to its 11th SAA Finals, with a 4-0 win over Centre College in the semifinals of the Southern Athletic Association Conference Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Saturday afternoon. 

The Tigers took the doubles point as Ramsey and Gil Weston collected a 6-0 win at No. 3 and Jordan Theron and Quinn Wicklund clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 1. 

Andre-Remi Jakobi collected a fast 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2, followed by Theron at No. 1, 6-1, 6-1. Ramsey clinched the match for the Tigers at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-2 win. Sewanee was up a set on the rest of the courts when the match was clinched. 

Sewanee will face the winner of Rhodes and Oglethorpe on Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
