SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee senior
Luka Avaliani was named to the SAA All-Tournament team at the conclusion of the league championships, as announced this week.
The Marietta, Ga., native netted 20 points in a quarterfinal victory over Hendrix College and collected 17 points and five rebounds in a semifinal loss to Centre College.
Avaliani garnered First Team All-SAA accolades, recording 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.93 assists in 27 games. The Marietta, Ga., native surpassed 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds during the season, one of 14 players in program history with 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. He posted 24 double-figure outings and nine contests with 20-plus points. Avaliani averaged 19.1 points, 5.9 boards and 4.43 assists in 14 outings against conference opponents.
