Sewanee added three more goals in the first quarter from Sage Cookerly, Gus Albright, and Henry Westfall, with Will Kennedy and Robert Freeman providing assists on the third and fourth goals, respectively. The Tigers led 5-0 at the end of the first.

Methodist got on the board early in the second quarter with a man-up goal, but Sewanee responded just 19 seconds later as Kennedy connected with Hank Walsh. After another man-up goal from the Monarchs, the Tigers rattled off four unanswered goals to take a 10-2 lead into halftime.

The Monarchs opened the third quarter with two unassisted goals, but Sewanee quickly regained momentum. Griffin Peterson assisted Devon Root, and Charles Moran found Freeman for back-to-back man-up goals. Moran added another assist late in the quarter, setting up Loupassi for Sewanee's 13th goal. Methodist managed a last-second goal to end the third, trailing 13-5.

Moran notched his third assist early in the fourth, finding Colin Bennett for a goal. Although Methodist answered with a goal off the faceoff, Sewanee closed the game with four unanswered goals to seal the 18-6 victory.
