Caruso voted SAA Athlete of the Week

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sophia Caruso garnered her second SAA Athlete of the Week defensive honors as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. 

The junior anchored Sewanee's back row as the Tigers went 2-0 to wrap up conference play this weekend. Caruso recorded 39 digs over the weekend, including 21 in a four-set win over No. 13-ranked Berry, the program's first-ever win against the Vikings. She averaged 5.57 digs a set this weekend and is averaging 4.62 digs per set in conference play this season. She added 10 assists on the weekend. 

Sewanee secured the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament and will host MUW and Covenant this Friday to conclude the regular season.
