Late goals sink Tigers at Ohio Wesleyan

Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. – Catherine Crane registered the Tigers lone shot on goal, as Sewanee fell to Ohio Wesleyan in field hockey action on Friday night on the road. 

The game remained 0-0 until the Bishops broke the stalemate two and a half minutes into the final period. Ohio Wesleyan collected their second goal with just over a minute remaining in the game off of a blocked shot to secure the win. 

Crane collected the Tigers' only chance three and a half minutes into the game, but Meg McCarthy, in goal for the Bishops, picked up the save. 

Ohio Wesleyan controlled the game as they collected 15 shots with eight on goal and eight corners. 

Claire Damare and Taylor Klesel split time in goal as Klesel posted four saves. 

The Tigers open conference play on Sunday as they travel to Centre for a 10 a.m. CT/11 a.m. ET competition.
