Drew Noblet and junior
Stephen Goetze took the top two spots in the javelin and sophomore
Lukus White finished third in the shot put for Sewanee men's track and field Saturday at the Mountain Laurel Invitational.
Noblet posted a mark of 181-feet, 6-inches for first place in the javelin while Goetze (142-4) and sophomore
Gavin Potter (123-11) finished second and seventh, respectively. In the shot put White recorded a mark of 39-2.5 for third place.
Sophomore
Brayden Owens finished sixth in the discus with a mark of 111-10 and Potter claimed sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 117-0.
In the track events, sophomore
Lane Gamble placed fourth in the 400-meters in 52.40 while sophomore
Brandon Christ was fourth in the 800-meters in 2:06.01 and freshman
Jimmy Holmes finished sixth in the 200-meters in 23.95.
The men's 4x100-meter relay of junior
Jenkins Darbney, Gamble, Holmes and sophomore
Gavin Stallings was second in 46.02 and the 4x400-meter relay of Christ, Gamble, Holmes and freshman
Jackson Knoll also placed second in 3:36.84.
The track team will participate in the SAA Championships next Friday and Saturday in Hendrix, Ark.
