SEWANEE, Tenn. –
Sam Leonard placed fourth in the high jump while
Ethan Kline qualified for finals in the 200 and 400-meters and the men's distance medley relay finished fourth for Sewanee on the first day of the SAA Track and Field Championships in Danville, Ky.
Leonard cleared 6-feet, 2-75-inches in the high jump for fourth place.
Kline posted a time of 51.93 to qualify fourth in the 400 and was sixth in qualifying in the 200 in 22.83.
The men's DMR of
Jack Collins,
Lane Gamble,
Austin Colvin and
Christian Myers finished fourth in 10:50.39 while the women's DMR of Sam Ude,
Gracie Schmidt,
Page Wells and
Elizabeth Cook finished seventh in 13:45.36, setting a new third place time in Sewanee's records.
Field events start at 9 a.m. ET and running finals begin at 11:30 a.m. ET on Saturday on the final day of the championships.
