SEWANEE, Tenn. – Tyler Cozzie scored twice and added an assist while Isaac Rasheed recorded a goal and one assist, as Sewanee raced posted two goals in the first 10 minutes, led 4-0 at the half and never looked back in a 5-2 victory over Hendrix College in men's soccer action Saturday evening in the quarterfinals of the SAA Championships.
With the victory the Tigers (6-6-4) advance to the SAA semifinals for the fourth consecutive season and will take on top-seeded Oglethorpe University next Friday in Memphis, Tenn. Sewanee dropped a 4-1 decision at Oglethorpe on October 5.
Cozzie and Rasheed both scored in the first 10 minutes and Cozzie and Grayson White added goals in the first half for the Tigers.
Cozzie found the back of the net on an assist from Noah Bjorkman in the sixth minute, on the Tigers' first shot of the match. Rasheed gained the ball at the top of the 18 after a clearance from a Hendrix defender placed the ball at his feet and the freshman found the net behind the Hendrix goal only four minutes later.
Rasheed launching a long-rang ball, finding Cozzie onsides as he netted his second goal in the 27th minute. White took advantage of a mistake by the Warriors defense, getting a loose ball and putting it home inside the six-yard box with just eight second remaining in the half.

Cozzie beat a defender and tipped the ball past the goalie to Alpha Bah just over two minutes into the second half for a 5-0 advantage.
Jensen Pechar found the back of the net for the Warriors (4-7-4) in the 56th minute and Will Kelton scored in the 86th minute on a free kick from just outside the top of the box for the final tally.
The Tigers will travel to Rhodes College for the SAA Semifinals, facing Oglethorpe University on Friday Nov. 8 at 11 a.m.
