SEWANEE, Tenn. – For the second time this season,
Ella Deitch and
Katie Walker swept the SAA Women's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Freshman Ella Deitch delivered another standout performance in Sewanee's home win over UT Southern. She captured first place in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:29.62, the third-fastest in the SAA this season, and won the 200 freestyle in 2:02.25, ranking 10th in the conference. She also added a second-place finish to cap her impressive meet in the 200-medley relay.
Senior Katie Walker earned her third SAA Athlete of the Week recognition this season, excelling on the boards with two first-place finishes. She scored 214.65 points on the 1-meter board and followed with a 221.33-point performance on the 3-meter board to secure the top spots in both events.
The Tigers will wrap up their fall season at the Centre Invitational from Nov. 22–24.
