Women's Swimming and Diving sweeps SAA Weekly Honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee women's Swimming and Diving teams swept the Southern Athletic Association Athlete of the Week awards, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

In her final home meet, senior Mary-Louise LeMieux picked up two first-place finishes and two runner-up finishes. LeMieux won the 50 free (25.68) and 100 free (55.64) while placing second in the 100 IM (1:05.34) and 200 medley relay (A, butterfly split: 26.86).

On the boards, Katie Walker achieved a career milestone, making her first NCAA regional qualifying score, picking up her sixth SAA Athlete of the Week honors. She won the 1-meter diving event with 228.30 points (six dives) and the 3-meter event with 257.33 points (six dives).

Sewanee will travel to Danville, Ky. for the SAA Conference Championships, starting on Feb. 12 through Feb. 15.
