SEWANEE, Tenn. – Olivia Falvey collected her first double-double of the season, leading the Tigers with 18 points and 11 rebounds, but turnovers proved costly for Sewanee, sending LaGrange past the Tigers in the final game of the CSC/SAA Classic on Sunday afternoon.

Falvey scored just two points in the first half but ignited in the second with 16 points. Hannah Cleveland contributed 14 points off the bench for Sewanee, while Cydney Wright followed with nine points and eight rebounds.

Sewanee struggled to find their rhythm early, committing 11 turnovers in teh first quarter that led to 10 LaGrange points. The Tigers managed just nine points in the opening period, with contributions from four different players. LaGrange took advantage of Sewanee's foul trouble, converting six points at the free-throw line to take control early.

The second quarter was plagued by turnovers from both teams, with a combined 10 giveaways early. Grace Gavin got the Tigers on the board with a jumper, while Cleveland fueled a brief surge with seven consecutive points, cutting the deficit to 11. Coming out of the break, Sewanee built momentum as Falvey connected for seven quick points and the Tigers' defense held LaGrange scoreless for a three-minute stretch. However, the Panthers closed out the third quarter with an 18-5 run to extend their lead.

Sewanee opened the final quarter with a three-pointer and continued to chip away at the margin, holding LaGrange to just one free throw in the first five minutes.
