SEWANEE, Tenn. – Tyler Cozzie scored twice, and Will Hawgood added another to lead Sewanee's men's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over LaGrange on Sunday.
Hawgood scored an early goal just five minutes into the game off an assist from Grayson White from distance. Cozzie scored the insurance goal with 33 minutes on the clock off a header at the back post.
Cozzie sealed the victory with his second goal of the day, drawing a foul in the box and converting the resulting penalty kick. The goal marked his fifth of the season.
Sewanee dominated offensively, tallying 18 shots with 12 on target, while limiting LaGrange to just three shots, two of which were on goal. Panthers' goalkeeper Sawyer Williams made nine saves in the contest, while
Sam Harwell, in goal for Sewanee collected two saves.
The Tigers return home to resume conference play against Millsaps on Friday night at 5 p.m.
