Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's soccer downs Centre 3-1

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Alpha Bah collected three points as the Tigers defeated Centre 3-1 at Puett Field, in men's soccer action earning the #3 seed in the SAA Tournament. 

Following an early Colonels goal by Ryan O'Hara, Sewanee would control the remaining 78 minutes of the game, outshooting Centre 18-11. 

Back to back goals by Bah and Isaac Rasheed in the 30th minute gave the Tigers a lead they would not relinquish. 

Nathan Vanhoeve recorded 6 saves in the second half, including 3 in a flurry of Centre chances early in the half to maintain the Tigers 2-1 advantage. 

With Centre down to 10 men following a 61st Minute red card on Luke Morgan, Tyler Scott would find the back of the net off a cross from Tyler Cozzie to secure a 3-1 lead and victory for the Tigers. 

For Sewanee, Bah led the way with a goal and two assists off the bench. Rasheed recorded 2 points on a goal and an assist, while Cozzie, Scott, and Greyson White also recorded points for the Tigers. Vanhoeve led the way on the back end, with 6 total saves, matching his season high. 

Sewanee (5-6-4, 3-2-1) hosts Hendrix College next Saturday in the first round of the SAA Tournament.
