SEWANEE, Tenn. – Top-ranked Johns Hopkins scored once in the first half and twice more in the first 14 minutes of the second period in a season-opening 3-0 victory over Sewanee in women's soccer action Friday night in Baltimore, Md.
The Tigers withheld a barrage of shots in the first half, giving up a Kate Sullivan scored in the 21

Abby Jones faced 13 shots in the first 45 minutes, making four saves.
Sullivan scored again only 55 seconds into the second half on an assist from Meghi Salvi. Sullivan also assisted on Ava Venuti's goal in the 59
th minute. Johns Hopkins outshot Sewanee, 22-5, and Jones finished with seven saves.
The Tigers face Widener University on Sunday to complete the weekend trip and travel to Piedmont University on Thursday.
