HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 1
-Sewanee got the offense going in the opener of the twin bill. After Hunter Herndon led off the game with a double, Charlie Teel had a productive out with an RBI groundout.

-Centre tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the second thanks to an RBI single to push the lead to 4-1.

-In the third, Herndon made it a 4-2 score thanks to a base hit after Owen Andress led off the frame with a free pass. After a fielder's choice and back-to-back walks, the Colonels decided to make a pitching change with the bases loaded and two outs. Following the mound visit, Will Yarbro launched a ball to right field for a two-run double to even the score at four.

-In the fifth, a sac fly gave Centre the lead again, 5-4, but it would not last long. For the Tigers in the seventh, an RBI knock by Mike Lewishall evened the game again as the see-saw battle continued.

-After the pitching and defense put up a zero on the board in the bottom half to keep the game even at five, the pendulum finally swung in favor of the Purple and White in the top of the eighth. Jonah Patton, with one out, coaxed a pinch hit walk, and Andress advanced him over to second on a base hit.

-With two on and one out, Luke Short sent a ball to left field for the go-ahead RBI double.

-On the mound, Aiden Lenzen slammed the door as he retired the final seven batters he faced to pick up the win.
