HOW IT HAPPENED
-Despite a first-inning run by the Majors on a lead-off home run, Drew Noblet responded with a solo shot of his own in the bottom half of the inning.

-The Majors made it a 3-1 lead after two innings, but a Blake Pou homer cut the deficit back to one run, 3-2.

-All was quiet for the offenses until the sixth when Sewanee took the lead. Will Yarbro cashed in on Hunter Herndon's leadoff free pass to tie the game at three runs apiece.

-Later in the inning, the Majors' were signaled for a balk that allowed Yarbro to touch home plate.

-Pou came up big for the Tigers again with a two-run base knock to make it 6-3 in favor of the Purple and White.

-For Millsaps, despite it being "get away" day, were not ready to pack it up yet. In the seventh, the Majors responded with a five-run frame to reclaim the lead, 8-6.

-The see-saw battle continued in the bottom of the seventh, where the Tigers cashed in on two walks and a hit-by-pitch to retake the lead, 9-6. Mike Lewishall had an RBI hit in the frame, and after Yarbro scored on a wild pitch to tie the game again, J.T. Carter had an RBI groundout.

-Trailing 9-8 going into the eighth, the Majors swung the pendulum back in their favor with a four-run inning, capped by a two-run single by Case Page.

-Sewanee added a run in the bottom of the eighth to make it a 12-10 score. After a leadoff walk by Pou, he moved up to second on a stolen base and took third on an errant throw by the Majors catcher. Noblet brought him home on an RBI single.

-Millsaps tacked on four insurance runs in the ninth to give the visitors a 16-10 lead.

-Sewanee did make an effort in the bottom of the ninth. A two-run single by Hunter Herndon and an RBI single by Alden Wright made it 16-13.

-After a pitching change, Yarbro made it 16-14 on an RBI double, but that would be as close as they would get.

-From the bottom of the sixth to the end of the game, a combined 25 runs were scored on 25 hits.
