KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The University of the South softball team played four more games to conclude its appearance at THE Spring Games. On Thursday, the Tigers dropped games to Loras College (Iowa), 8-0 and Hamline University (Minn.), 8-2. On Friday, the trip ended with losses to Simpson College (Iowa), 5-1, and No. 9 Bethel University (Minn.), 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED, LORAS
-The Duhawks started the game with a run in the first on a sac fly and added three more in the second.
-In the second, after Loras extended the lead to 4-0, the Tigers had three straight singles to lead the bases with one out, but they were stranded on base.
-The Duhawks added a run in the fourth and three in the sixth to essentially put the game away.

Madilyn Parker went 2-for-3 on the day for to pace the Sewanee offense.
LORAS KEY STATISTICS
-Whitney Leipold had two hits and RBI each for Loras.
HOW IT HAPPENED, HAMLINE
-The Pipers started the game with two runs in the bottom of the first.
-In the second, Sewanee, thanks to a a leadoff double by
Alice Charboneau and an error by the Pipers, saw its first run of the game score and trailed 2-1.
-The Pipers responded with two runs in the bottom of the second to extend the lead to 4-1.
-
Madilyn Parker made it a 4-2 deficit with a leadoff home run in the fifth. The Tigers were able to also load the bases in the frame, but a caught stealing and a pop-up ended the threat.
-Hamline scored four runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning to put the game away.

Alice Charboneau each had a double for the Purple and White.
Madilyn Parker also had a homer, the first of her collegiate career.
HAMLINE KEY STATISTICS
-Gabby Cook had a 3-for-4 day at the plate with an RBI and a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED, SIMPSON
-In Sewanee's first game on Friday, Simpson saw the first five hitters reach base. Maddie Luderman hit a three-run homer to start the offense and the Storm led 4-0 after one frame.
-Simpson added a run in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 5-0.
-The Purple Tigers were able to avoid the shutout with
Hannah Wilson scoring on a fielding error by the left fielder.

Madilyn Parker recorded a 1-for-3 day with a double.
-In relief,
Hanna Hollis tossed four innings of five-hit ball, allowing one unearned run.
SIMPSON KEY STATISTICS
-Maddie Luderman went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED, BETHEL
-The Royals tacked on a single run in the first before adding two in the third. Bethel also tallied a single run in the fifth and sixth to extend the lead to 5-0.
-The Tigers did avoid the shutout in the bottom of the seventh.
Michaela Walker posted a two-run single. Sewanee also ended a no-hit bid in the frame. After
Olivia Falvey reached on a free pass,
Alice Charboneau broke it up with a base hit.
-Bethel, who lost to Berry College in the Rome Super Regional last year, is ranked ninth in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll.

The Tigers will return home and will step back into Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play on Saturday, March 25 with a three-game series at Millsaps College.
