CONWAY, Ark. - The University of the South women's basketball team fell on the road to Hendrix College, 77-63, Friday night inside Grove Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers got the offense started 27 seconds into the contest with a
Faith Humphrey triple from
Kayla Antoine.
-Sewanee had a 6-2 lead after a
Camryn Broussard 3-pointer, but a 10-0 run gave the Warriors the lead, 12-6, with less than three minutes left in the half.
-The Tigers did fight their way back to a 15-13 deficit after one quarter of play. The momentum stayed for Sewanee at the start of the second stanza, as Olivia Faley's layup capped a 9-3 run by the Purple and White.
-However, similar to the first quarter, Hendrix scored the next 11 points to lead, 26-15, with seven minutes to go in the half.
-The game of runs then shifted back to the Tigers with a 9-0 run of their own to make it a two-point deficit, 26-24, with four minutes remaining.
-Sewanee was able to get the deficit back to one possession, 32-29, at the break.
-For the home team, the story was the third quarter. The Warriors used a 10-0 run at the end of the frame to lead, 54-40, after 30 minutes and essentially put the game away. Hendrix shot 8-of-15 in the third period and connect on three triples.

Shay Conn led the Purple and White on Friday night. The freshman shattered her previous career high of 11 with a 20-point performance on 9-of-15 shooting.

Olivia Falvey posted her second double-double in her last three games, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 boards.

Lilly Phillips added 11 points on three triples, while
Camryn Broussard added 10.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Madi Pierce led the Warriors with 20 points and added eight boards. Megan Gray posted 15 points, while Shely Heil knocked down 14.
