MEMPHIS - The University of the South women's basketball team suffered a 78-38 decision to Rhodes College in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest, Sunday afternoon inside Mallory Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Despite Rhodes getting into foul trouble early, it did not phase the home team, as they used six offensive boards to post a 19-6 lead after one quarter.
-The Lynx kept the momentum in their favor, starting the second stanza on a 19-1 run in almost seven minutes.
-Only scoring 13 points in the first 20 minutes, the Tigers shot 6-of-13 in the third period and dropped 20 points in the third quarter.
Kayla Antoine led the way in the quarter for Sewanee with eight points and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
Shay Conn,
Faith Humphrey and
Olivia Falvey each added four points to round out the scoring.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Kayla Antoine played all 40 minutes for Sewanee in the contest and led all scorers with 16 points thanks to a 10-of-12 mark from the charity stripe. The junior also added nine rebounds.
RHODES KEY STATISTICS
-Alexys Mathangani led the Lynx with 15 points and five assists.

Sewanee's final three games of the 2022-23 regular season will take place from the friendly confines of Juhan Gymnasium. The University of the South will begin the home stand with Berry College on Friday night at 6 p.m.
