HOW IT HAPPENED
-After Sewanee's
Matt Munn recorded a pick-off at first base on defense, the Tiger bats went to work. After a leadoff double by
Blake Pou,
Jack Roode would later have a base hit up the middle.
-In the third, after
Luke Short reached on a muffed error by the first baseman,
Hunter Herndon brought him in on Brescia's second error in the inning.
-The Bearcats responded in the top of the fourth with a two-run single by Joshua Martini.
-After a clean top of the fifth, Sewanee responded with the eventual go-ahead run in the bottom half.
Drew Noblet, who was pinch running, scored while Pou was in a run-down.
-The Tigers added an insurance run in the sixth on an RBI single by
Mac Gortney.
