SEWANEE, Tenn. – Volleyball picked up another conference win as Jacqueline Weller posted a career-high 20 kills over their 3-1 (25-12, 25-13, 23-25, 25-17) win at Birmingham Southern.

The Tigers (14-5, 4-2) had a team-hitting average of .235 as three players hit above .290, Ashley Crosby (.292, 10 kills), Olivia Jones (.316, 6 kills), and Jacqueline Weller (.302, 20 kills).

Adele Cassidy as libero picked up 29 digs, just three off her season high while Sophia Caruso recorded 20, four off her career best.

The Tigers dominated play in the first two sets, holding the Panthers (7-12, 3-5) to a negative hitting average. The Tigers had 24 kills in the first two sets with only three combined lead changes.

The Panthers came back in the third to force a fourth set, but the Tigers again held the Panthers to negative hitting percentage as they never relinquished the lead to win the set, 25-17.

The Tigers travel to Millsaps on Sunday to play their second conference game on the road at Noon. They continue their streak of away games next weekend, October 13 and 14 at Berry and Oglethorpe.
